Just wondering if we fall under the category of those with pre-existing conditions. I'm embarrassed to potentially take a dose away from someone who may be considered more in need but am also terrified of the potential gastrointestinal symptoms some with covid have experienced, with my pouch.

States will vary in how they adopt the CDC recommendations for vaccine prioritization. The CDC’s language for folks at higher risk is “underlying medical conditions which increase the risk of serious, life-threatening complications from COVID-19.” I have some concern that these criteria (identification and verification) may be managed poorly in the rush to get a huge number of people vaccinated. Folks who are on steroids or other immunosuppressive medications would qualify for this higher priority, though.
