Contrast enema vs scope

1st contrast enema showed a leak (step 1 of 2). A staple didn’t close. Went back 6 months later to see if it healed. Unfortunately, the test was unsuccessful. It was too painful to do. Surgeon says they’re gonna put me to sleep next time (11/20) so she can check me with a scope to see if the jpouch is good to go. Has anyone checked their that way without having to do the contrast enema before reversal?
