Hello. I hope someone has some advice for me. I had a total colectomy and IPAA in 2009 and in 2011 scar tissue removal surgery due to it wrapping around an artery. I have had chronic pouchitis since 2009 and have been on antibiotics except for a 6 month period where Oregano worked. But then it didn't. The first time I had a Pouchoscopy in 2010 it caused a terrible bout of Pouchitis from the prep. I recently had a second one due to a stricture and bloating like a partial obstruction. The surgeon did a pouchoscopy with a balloon dilation near the anastomosis, but afterwards I bled for a day and a half and it hurt to sit down for a few days. The doctor said I have a 4 inch section of intestine above the pouch that has thickening walls. He said it could be Crohn's or scar tissue? It has always been negative for Crohn's. Since then I have had pain in my rectum (hemorrhoids?), gas pressure by the afternoon, gurgling intestines, explosive diarrhea and feelings of incontinence. I am using Canassa, but it isn't helping. Has anyone experienced this after a pouchoscopy? Is there anything I can do? Should I restart the antibiotic? Please help!!
