Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've been last on here.... I guess you could call that a good thing.
I've been on cipro and flagyl for maybe 2 months now and things have been great, really great! As I near the end of the Anti-biotic treatment I've slowly started tapering my doses. 1 of each pill every other day. I'm worried now as I have just gotten over a cold which I was taking Tylenol Cold for, I am noticing some of the feelings I would get prior to the anti-biotics... a slight urge to have a movement every so often and a slight butt burn when passing the stool, which sometimes is tough to pass. Is it possible the cold could cause these effects on the Jpouch? I only recently started tapering the meds, early last week. I don't want to start to assume it's the same issue coming back, I just tend to always worry.
My doctor has recommended I take a table spoon of Metamucil everyday which I've completely neglected but does that help aid in better movements along with formed stools? (not overly worried about the formation)
Thanks everyone, hope January has been a great start to 2015!
-Mike
