Has anyone ever tried cold plunge to help control inflammation and booth their immune system? I've only just begun to read up on the subject, and am not even sure if I personally can try because I have a heart issue. I will be talking to the cardiologist at my next appointment about it. Cold plunge seems to be very popular these days. Just curious. It's not a given that it work for our digestive system, though I have read it may! 🥴 Anyway, has anyone tried it as of yet? If so has it helped your inflammation any?

As of now, there have been no large scientific studies on whether or not cold plunging is effective. They have documented the health hazards very well (https://physoc.onlinelibrary.w...dotal%20speculation.). There are some studies that show it MAY help with inflammation and autoimmune diseases (https://www.tandfonline.com/do...2656736.2021.1915504 and https://www.cell.com/cell-meta...true#secsectitle0020).

This NPR article was pretty cool - they break down a lot of the claims made about cold water therapy!
