I've had colorectal, colon and intestinal cancer as well as multiple fistulas, and mesh migration which fused everything together and I'm  fused to my bladder after adhesions returned and I've had sepsis. Since I have had severe rectal pain ,  as well as abdominal, and pelvic. I now have a k-pouch and have been on pain management for awhile  and was wondering how normal or common chronic pain is after 18 surgeries. I do have adhesions, scar tissue, and nerve damage. Also does anyone know if spinal cord stimulation works for this type of pain. Thanks

I have had three different Stimulators. The first two did nothing to help rectal area pain. The third one and the one I have now is called the DRG. It goes down through the sacral vertebrae instead higher along the spine. It covers the s3 and S4 area. My pain use to start below tailbone and run down where my rectum use to be. The higher area of pain gets %100 relief. The lower lead unfortunately moved so it doesn’t help as much. I would totally recommend the DRG from Abbott.
