I have had chronic muscle tightness throughout my body for years, much worse since I've had my j-pouch. This includes muscles in the anal area (and is thought to be part of why I have chronic anal burning). I have worked with pelvic floor pts but no long term improvement. But, I"m wondering if I could have a nutritional deficiency affecting my whole body. Magnesium seems to help a bit but I can only take a low dose for only a few days before the inevitable diarrhea kicks in.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Robaxin is pretty tame stuff. So is Flexeril. Nothing like Valium and the dependency it causes. But, they are tame enough that they don 't make a huge difference. Norco is hydrocodone, so there is the chronic opiate issue (slippery slope and all that). I am very conscious of it, so according to my rheumatologist, I tend to under treat my pain.

Been on it for years without increasing my dose.
