Hello - I'm new to this forum and looking for advice on whether to have my K-pouch surgery performed by Dr. Scott Steele at Cleveland Clinic or Dr. Dave Dietz, formerly of Cleveland Clinic now across the road at Case Western.
I understand that Dietz has performed many more K-pouch surgeries than Steele over the course of his career -- 100+ compared to about 30. On the other hand, Cleveland Clinic looks to be the go-to spot for K-pouch surgeries with loads of institutional knowledge, and Steele is by all accounts a terrific surgeon.
I've seen many favorable posts on this forum for Dr. Dietz, but not many experiences with Dr. Steele. If anyone has had their K-pouch surgery performed by either surgeon and is willing to share their thoughts, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks!
