I have had pretty bad lower abdominal pains when I walk or stand for too long. the pain gets worse faster if I am going uphill or carrying anything. Once I sit down it goes away. I was at the neurologist for an unrelated problem with my shoulders. He recommended a celiac plexus block. One of the possible side effects is diarrhea and there are more serious ones like paralysis. (rare) It feels like we may be jumping the gun. Shouldn't blood flow be measured first? I have venous insufficiency in my legs so maybe they can check my abdomen as well? Anyone have experience in this area? TIA
