With the Holidays here and delicious Pumpkin Pies all around, I found out that they me go alot.I had some for Thanksgiving and it made me go quite a bit, I do have a behaving J-pouch, so I know it had to be the pumpkin. The pie was store bought so not sure what it had in it. I looked on a can of pumpkin that I have and it does have quite a bit of fiber in it..So a few hours after eating Pumpkin Pie and you have to go a few times, you can be sure thats what it is.

I know we all start feeling our pouches a little more around the holidays. Eating more, eating at different times, eating different foods, and over-indulging (on food, desserts and perhaps also alcohol! Smiler ) will all give us a few extra trips to the loo. Not to mention the hustle-bustle of traveling and the stress of trying to get everything done on time and ensuring you remember everyone on your list.

That being said, if we're taking about holiday food, I've found that sweet potatoes/yams increase my frequency. It's certainly not diarrhea, they just literally make me go more. Doesn't stop me from eating them, however, because I love them. But something to keep in mind, and perhaps another reason to skip a second helping. However, we all have our own specific trigger foods.
