I'm going to say, embrace the noise. There are a few times when things are quiet for me, and that's normally after a bowl of oatmeal or cream of potato soup. When things aren't quite firm and aren't quite loose. Those are not common though.

Most likely, you'll need to experiment with what you eat to help reduce gas, but. . .JPouch is loud.

I don't know what you mean by "quite hard" but that is not normal. You probably need to take a look at your diet and make adjustments. Pushing hard can cause problems. . .like prolapse.

So, take a look at your diet and start making changes. Hopefully, once you get your consistency right in your pouch, the noise issue will resolve (somewhat) on its own.

My pouch sounds like a muffler that is trying to escape...that and a motor boat getting started.
Hubby is used to it...the G-kids fart just as loudly and they don't have pouches...they just giggle!
Unless you find some sort of muffler device or insulation for your toilet seat I have no idea...
On the other hand...if you take some decent probiotics you suffer from less gas and thus noise.
No other ideas...but as stated by dog...embrase the new you.

Gas is what I consider the propellant behind the BM's since we don't have the natural contractions of our large intestine anymore or something like that. I have a painful time when I can't get the gas out!

I agree about the pushing. If you are pushing too hard you need to soften up your BM's some for the health of your pouch.

I hate using restrooms at other peoples houses, unless I can seek one out on a different floor!
