I normally relief gas laying on my stomach I'm on Cipro now and the gas doesn't come out what do I do? Passing it over the toilet never works

I was having the same issue. Somebody on this forum recommended the following.

Right before I sit on the toilet I basically bend over at the waist and touch my toes. I have no idea how or why but when I do this then sit down all kinds of gas comes out. Give it a try.

Since I started cipro I literally can't go anymore. I'm in so much pain right now. Only little bits come out and they are formed. I'm used to it being fluid stool all the time. I just tried your suggestion and I'm sitting on the toilet in so much pain it's unbearable I'm crying I started taking oxycodone but I don't want to take it every day please help

There has to be a way to shake that gas loose. I was just about doubled over in pain before I tried that. I wish I had better advice. I just bend at the waist with my hands on the floor like I'm about to do a handstand. I kind of move around and it seems to bring the gas out. I know it's no help but I really do feel your pain and I hope you figure it out soon.

You might be suffering from constipation. Cipro does tend to thicken the stool, and for many folks requires plenty of fluid to keep things from getting backed up. The oxycodone can make constipation much worse and really mustn’t be used for this. Fruit juice might help, or a *mild* laxative. I hope you feel better soon!

I am sorry to hear that Andrina! I get symptoms like that if I overeat 2 days in a row; when I get like that, I take two bottles of Magnesium Citrate and it works miracles, all the pain is taken care of within a couple hours along with the constipation being gone. After I get fully cleaned out by the two bottles, I stay on a liquid diet the next day for bowel rest.

I am so sorry you are in such pain, and it sounds like you took medication appropriately. Pain is a warning sign that something is wrong and needs to be addressed. The pain you are experiencing may be due to more than just gas. What does your health provider say? I was having horrific pain which turned out to be a stricture of my J-pouch, which needed to be treated surgically. You have probably already tried, but a heating pad, and physical activity/exercise like sit-ups have helped me when gas is a problem.
