Well little bit. Liquid in small amounts and very minimal gas. No pain. But bloated and pain to touch if pressure applied. Xray showed normal bowel loops and not fecal accumulation (didn't know they could tell that on a regular xray but anyway). Have bowel sound but slow. Obviously. Appointment Thursday. eating in small quantities soft things mostly cause I'm missing eating but dont feel real hungry.

Any thoughts. I'm worried about lack of going to blow the small intestine? I know it can happen. I'm sorry. Haven't been on here much since I was feeling better but now I hope for lots of help. If you have thoughts let me know

Could be an obstruction in or near your pouch, like an anal stricture or pouch inlet stricture. Obstructions near the ned of the gut take a long while before symptoms become acute. Early on, they are more vague and mild. Could be you were examined and x-rayed before things progressed enough. Keep an eye on things and return to the doctor if things do not begin to resolve or your symptoms worsen (and they will if things don't begin to improve).

You are doing the right thing, being cautious with your diet. Are you yaking any medications that could slow the gut or have you changed your diet recently?

It occured to me to wonder if it could be thyroid related. I have been told I had hypothryroidism. I take the medication for that but its not new. I don't take it as consistantly as I ought to though. But lately I have been waking with HOT feet and hands. And I looked it up. Could be thyroid related for the feet and hands but I think maybe it can affect gut motility. Does anyone know?
I'm curious too Magic. I just read this and wanted to tell you your thyroid is most important to your pouch function. You need to take it the first thing in the morning 45-60 minutes with water before you eat or take any other medications. If you need to set your cellphone alarm, I have to do that when I'm taking antibiotics.

On 2 different occasions I've been to the Mayo clinic and my thyroid levels were way off and my GI specialist there explained that alone can affect frequency and everything. It took 18 months to get my thyroid levels in the normal range after my 2nd surgery so it could be that even if you were taking your medication exactly as prescribed that your thyroid could be contributing to your problems. If you have not had it checked in the last 3 months you might need to do that.

I hope everything else is going well with you! I assume no news is good news! It is nice hearing back from you every now and then. You saved me when you told me I could take digestive enzimes in the early months! You also explained the difference between being low in Iron stores and being anemic Smiler You rock!
