can a non thrombosed hemorrhoid cause unbearable pain? its just irritated a bit but not swollen anymore and that unbearable pain during gas pains is still there. my surgeon is going to scope me and sent me home with hydrocortisone suppositories concerned that ive either pouch inflammation cuff inflammation or a fissure. are the suppositories a good start? i hate using meds unnecessarily. ive no blood go 6 to 7 times a day with no urgency other than that excruciating pain when gas is doing its miserable best to light me up...

im getting scoped tuesday but wanted to put this out there. my thrombosed hemorrhoid has softened and shrunk away but now right under were it was the is a smaller than a pea sized harder lump. im guessing its not the hem cause that was shrinking and softer. anyway im also guessing thats whats causing me all this pain. its on the outside part of the anus close to the opening but low and tight to the surface. def not an internal hem. any ideas what it is? i believe its been messing my recovery up all along. what i mean is its so painful i cant tolerate any gas or stool pressure so maybe ive been blaming food undeservedly...
was hoping it might be a simple boil but with my luck no way. its def right at the opening and mostly painful with sitting and gas not so much touching or wiping the area. def a different formation from the hem. called into doc just in case but still getting scoped tuesday. if its what you think can it be treated or is it a chronic situation?
