Hi, I just wanted to share my recent c-section story. I know the closer it got to delivering the more nervous I got about the c-section and if it would disturb my J-pouch. I am happy to announce that our little boy was born at 4:22pm Sunday August 30th. I was able to get up later that night and walk around and had control over my bowls. Once the spinal wore off I had complete control, which was something I was worried about after reading several post about the bowls not waking up immediately after. I did however have an issue with trapped gas in my abdomen and chest. This was very painful and uncomfortable and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to move for the first couple of days. I walked I held a pillow to my belly, nothing worked. By day 3 I was finally able to start passing a little gas and finally got some of the pressure off. I was discharged on day 4 with no problems and at about 60% back to normal. It now a full week and I've been at 100% for the past 2 days. I hope this eases some of the anxiety that some in similar situations may feel. Just keep the faith and it'll be fine.
