So I eat and go to restroom within 30 min. I don't eat all day then eat about 9 or 10 pm. If I eat, I'm in restroom and end up with butt burn and leakage so to be normal and have no issues I wait to eat. Anyway, I can't shake this pain and burning. The acid makes me raw and bleed. Once all the food passes from 10 to 15 BMs or going through a entire roll of toilet paper when moving comes sometime my butt feels fine. Sometime I deal with this burning all day long with no relief. 2003 1st j pouch, 2nd one 2009.

Any thoughts?

Calmoseptine barrier cream has worked miracles for me. I can’t do without it. It’s over the counter at CVS or even Costco $6 for 4oz tube. Be careful with spicy and/or too acidic foods, makes things a bit worse.

AMEN!!!!! If you get it at cvs and sign up for extracare , you get coupons!!!!

Yeah i miss spicy food haha, i use mild hot sauce now. Can you tolerate mild???

How far are you post surgery. If it’s still in the first few months it will get better. But I’m 8 years out and I get butt burn all the time, to the point where I see blood on the toilet paper from my irritated skin. I use calmoseptine cream, have a bidet, use wipes at work, but I still get it. It’s just something i deal with now. I also try to take medicine and added fiber to decrease output. It sucks though. But maybe some changes like that might help a little. Hang in there!
