Burning pain with bowel spasms

I have suddenly developed burning pain that comes and goes along with bowel spasms. It has been getting worse and worse over the past week. I saw my GP to rule out UTI and it was negative. There is no blood in my feces and no frequency issues. I saw my Gastroenterologist who was reluctant to order a CT scan, or antibiotics. I have been on low dose antibiotic for a long time. No she doesn’t cycle me to other antibiotics. I don’t think she knows what she is doing as she only has 3 patients with a J-pouch. She agreed to increase my amoxicillin to take if I’m desperate (Her words). I started taking it 24 hours ago and it is helping a lot! Now I am wondering if my body has become tolerant of this medication and the low dose doesn’t work anymore! But I am confused because a flare of pouchitis includes diarrhea and blood and that isn’t happening? Help! Anyone have this happen to them?
