I had a total colectomy in 2006. Two months later, I had an ileostomy reversal or j- pouch surgery. I've done great all this time; but in the last few days had bright red blood mingled in with my stools. It's been a few years since my last pouch exam. Could the blood be just from hemeroids, or something more serious? Maybe pouchitis? I've never had pouchitis.
I generally just don't feel well; and some cramping in right abdomen and lower back.
Any advice? Has anyone experienced anything similar so long after surgery? It's been 8 years for me.
