considering I have gold member elite status with all of my frequent visit points to CC...!!!!!!

here's a few:
"Carnegie" for breakfast and lunch. on carnegie avenue downtown right near all the interstates. Just before the Hilton garden inn. Healthy fresh cooked food at half price of au bon pain. great place for stopping after an EUA or outpatient procedure. Great omelletes, fresh salmon sandwiches, and other choices that are easy on the gut. They don't do dinner.

There's an italian area www.littleitalycleveland.com which is great to walk around, eat dinner. Nice area to walk around between appointments as there are a few coffee shops and delicious italian bakeries. About 10minute drive from main campus.

more upscale dining restaurant La Strada www.lastradacleveland.com
in the 4th street area of downtown.

There are lots of other restaurants in the 4th street area. My husband frequented Flannery's Pub www.flannerys.com during my month long hospital stay.

For staying overnight.. we have always found the most reasonable hotels in the downtown area. They are less expensive than the onsite CC Guest House and a significantly better atmosphere. I usually just look at online travel sites... find some names and going rates and then call the hotel directly asking for the cleveland clinic rate. Its usually at least 20% off. That area is only about 5minute drive to CC AND most of the hotels have shuttles that go straight to CC or there is a CC shuttle which goes all the time between that area and main campus. You must ask about parking rates, etc.. Some are additional.
