I am really struggling to gain weight since my pouch redo almost 2 years ago. I want to try some protein powders because just eating more is not working. I am guessing its an absorption issue maybe?? I have iron anemia issues and need infusions a few times a year so not sure if this would help or not?

Protein won't really help you gain weight. Its food for muscle, but you have to be exercising the muscle to build it up (IE lots of exercise). It's hard to gain weight through exercise, especially if you can't gain through inactivity.
As a slender guy myself I'd say embrace it. Enjoy it, East pizza, wear skinny jeans or waistcoats or whatever you skinny clothes off choice are.. many many people wanna be like you

Did you ever find a protein powder that worked for you?
YTCROCKPOT, and anyone else who is looking, it's more like what protein powder works for you. If you have sensitivity to certain things like latose, milk etc look for a protein powder without those things, otherwise anything will work. I buy stuff from the GNC store that doesn't bother me, some I don't like just due to taste others have things that make me gassy.
Good luck
Anyone have any insight into this? I know whey protein is hard to break down in the first place and can cause some problems for pouchers. I’m 3 months post takedown and need to up my protein intake significantly and I’m not looking to eat a ton to do it. Anyone find a suitable protein powder for pouchers?
Vitamin Shoppe has a powdered peanut protein that is delicious. Of course you could also just make smoothies and add smooth nut butter.
I just started using Total Activation Whey Isolate Protein. I ordered if from Amazon after reading through too many whey protein types. I picked it because it is lactose free and has stevia instead of sugar. i chose vanilla so it I could mix it with other things in a smoothie. So far, I've not had any problems with it. By the way I also put collagen peptides in my morning coffee.
Before this I used Pristine Protein by Trim Healthy Mama. I've also used Sunwarror's plant based protein. I didn't have any issues with them either. The switches were just personal preference.
