I have had 2 jpouches and probably total of 10 surgeries. My question is in regards to the different shapes of our stomachs now. I am a thin guy, but I have a little bit of a belly. my midline scar stays very close and tight but my belly protrudes a little from both sides( not hernias). My question is this, in the area dead center below breast plate and top of the belly button which is where my scar starts, I have a little protrusion in that area. I have had an incisional hernia repair at my ileostomy site a few months back and this doesn't seem like that at all. I believe its just my belly? lol . a mans pot belly usually starts just at the center of the belly under the man boobs lol, but like I said my scar sits very close and tight to my body and I think its just the way my belly sits. anyone else have this?

All I can say is I had a nice smooth flat belly before. I'm slim also. It's all screwed up after four surgeries let alone ten! Lumpy bumpy. I have a thin crater scar and no belly button but pushing 61 and being married 39 years. We don't care. Lol.
I have a small spot that has not healed from the removal of my pouch. After 15 months! Well I went in yesterday and she cut it open again. Not the first time. But she asked me if she could cut to the side a bit. Didn't want me upset at the way it looked. Hahaha. I told her I didn't care as it's all messed up anyways. So now I have a 3/4 x 1/4 cut to tend to while working. And it's not pleasant.
I know I didn't answer your question. But my bump is mainly on the ileo side now. No pot belly.
Richard.
I have had about six surgeries where they dove into my stomach. (I lost count!) I have a small gut, but the surgeries have all but made it so I'm not going shirtless any time soon.
For the last surgery I asked the surgical nurse about "cleaning it up, doing a bit of Lipo" as a joke and she said, "welcome to your new stomach." In other words, not too much can be done. I think the best I can do is try not to put on weight, keep the fat content under control!
does anyone elses midline scar stay close to their body? like tight and up close? I have seen photos of overweight people where the midline scar just follows the curves of the stomach. it seems if I got a big belly the fat would just accumaulate around my scar??
