since i have stopped my antibiotics for bacteria overgrowth and using diet to control i have become more aware of something that happens to me..its having a bad night where i am getting up and going to bathroom an inordinate amount of times and then like magic morning comes or late morning and its gone and all goes back to more normal output..and the next night it might not be as the night before..there does not seem to be a food reason for this as i might not have eaten any differently..now that i know i have bacteria overgrowth that was controlled for years with antibiotic and now by diet this condition is beginning to stand out as another issue before it just seemed part of the bacteria growth issue..

wondering what is ips symptoms and manifistations and if i might have that too..maybe explains why the above comes and goes..

i remember jan mentioning bacteria overgrowth and ips together in some way..

what might cause it and what does one do if indeed they have that..

in answer to my own question and assumption i probably do not have ips because i have issues of going alot one day and not the next..the problem has cleared itself up by my realizing its as simple as what i put in my mouth!!!

although doing well off antibiotics for sibo i came to conclusion if i over eat some things like almonds or my beloved almond bread i am going to pay for it that night!!and i am now sure some other instances of mystery bad nights are from something i atr..so although i am off all simple carbs i have to be more mindful of what else triggers my going to bathroom a lot..simple as that....

jan i agree i usually do not bother with frequency either but what i am talking about is literally going from 8at night to 8 in morning..in the can all night ..that is what i meant by bd nights..

a good day/evening for me is probably anywhere from 8 to 10 times but maybe only 2 or three at night..i live with that fine because i feel ok too..

but you are also right that figuring out what is what is not easy but i believe more doable since eliminating all simple carbs(starchy foods) it leaves me with all the rest to figure out!!!!!
