I got my j pouch 4-8-15, and I've had my share of ups and downs, lately mostly ups until....I went to France at the end of June for 12 days, on planes, trains and buses, and did pretty well.My husband and I went to the cafeteria last night.  I had a fried chicken breast(ate no skin but did eat a few crunchies), green beans(I wanted something nutritious, even though it's on the don't eat list like everything else, but for how long?), mashed potatoes and brown gravy, and half of a white roll.  I woke up with diarrhea at around 12:30 AM, and went many times until about 5:00 AM.  For breakfast I had coffee, a banana and Gerber rice cereal with a small amount of almond milk and honey to make it edible. I read on this forum that the rice cereal was a good go to for combatting diarrhea.  All was well and good for my derma appointment!  For lunch I had a smoked turkey sandwich with Dijon mustard(I usually go with Miracle Whip, but had started using some Dijon) on a Kaiser roll and a slice of sharp cheddar cheese.  Mid afternoon I had some watered down Powerade Zero(fruit punch flavor with electrolytes), and a few Mentos mints. Well the faucet opened wide open.  I ate some tapioca pudding and more imodium  to try to slow it down. Finally after about 2 hours of misery it has stopped.  I, too, get very depressed when this happens.  Any advice on which of these foods caused the havoc?  What fruits and vegetables are j pouchers eating that don't cause diarrhea?   I'm used to eating fresh fruits and veggies in the summer, I love nuts and chocolate, too.  This diet is killing me!  I've lost about 22 lbs which is a good weight for me.  My husband keeps  telling me not to lose anymore so that I don't look anorexic.  I just ate a square of dark chocolate with hazelnuts, so I bet I'll be running to the bathroom again soon.  I just get so tired of eating the same old stuff all the time.  Is there a meal planner out there anywhere?  I think I'll have a beer......or 2, what do I have to lose?
