Had J-pouch surgery feb of 06'. Problem free until 6 weeks ago. Scoped and the doctor says all inflamed. Put me on Flagyl and imotyl. burning and urgency at that time. Now have severe back and tailbone pain.Seems worse at night. I have a bad back anyway , but it is a different pain.
Has anyone had this issue?

Could be directly pouchitis related, or it could be inflammatory arthritis, related to ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Enteropathic arthritis is a spondyloarthropathy related to AS. If your pain is mostly in the upper buttocks, that is sacroiliac pain, and a hallmark of spondyloarthritis. But, you need this pain to persist for 3 months or more to be considered this disease. But, it wouldn't hurt to study up on this, in case this continues.

I get tail bone pain too, ever since I had a presacral abscess following surgery. But, your inflamed pouch could be irritating your tailbone too.
