The procedure itself went fine. However, my GI found inflammation in the pouch. He said it was pouchitis, and he also took biopsies to confirm. Also he is going to send the scope results to my surgeon if he needs to look at it.
I'm kinda surprised since I didn't have the typical pouchitis symptoms other than increased BMs and night time incontinence. There was also iron deficiency which is why I had the pouchoscopy in the first place even though I didn't have blood in any stools.
I'm on cipro and flagyl. I'm going to upload the pics from the scope so I can get your opinions on if it looks like pouchitis, because I've honestly never seen it before. The pictures are obviously aren't for the squeamish.
