Hi all,
I am a 3 year j-poucher who has had occasional bouts of pouchitis (every 3-4 months, resolved with Cipro 500mg for 14 days). Anyways, having issues with infertility. We are seeing an infertility specialist and have had tests done to make sure there is no apparent scar tissue, which there is not. The doctor is recommending aspirin 81mg (along with Femara to stimulate ovulation, an intrauterine insemination and progesterone vaginal suppositories after ovulation) to help thicken my too thin uterine lining. I have never taken NSAIDs with my j-pouch and mentioned this to the doctor. He said with such a low dose, it shouldn't cause any problems. This is part of the treatment and we wouldn't be considering it if we weren't really needing help. Is aspirin a definite NO, or is low dose ok? And should I get NON-enteric coated so it doesn't wait til intestines to break down (good for non j-pouchers, so it won't irritate stomach)! Anyone?
