Has some with a pouch tried Ayahuasca. I was reading this book by Michael Polan - How to change your mind & I’m interested in trying it once for the sake of experience.

I have a pouch now but tried it before I lost my colon. I went to Peru on a healing trip with a small group. I went on the trip not feeling great from UC and worsened while there. I was only able take Ayahuasca at the first ceremony , the first of several nights. The first ceremony was of minimal potency to introduce the body to it. It disagreed with me and they advised me against taking it any further.. In fact, it is standard for a normal individual to have extreme GI upset quickly after taking it. We were lucky enough to be guided by traditional native shaman who were very experienced in the tradition. Unfortunately, there are many opportunistic folks out there who lack the proper experience. Now, having a j pouch an having had the experience I would never ingest Ayahuasca and expose my sensitive GI tract to it.
