I was prescribed Augmentin for a sinus infection and miraculously within 12 hours my pouch improved (urgency/constant urge to go and gass I have always had went away, slept 8 hours through 4 nights straight...). When I explained this to my GI doc he said I must have had pouchitis (all along). Anyway, after just a week of total heaven things have gone south and are back to normal despite the continued use of the Augmentin. Does anyone have any ideas/theories on what might be happening? It seems unlikely to me that I can have become resistant to the Augmentin after such a short time.
