I had hemorraging in Feb 2013 lasting 3 days followed by bleeding for a couple weeks.

My GI dr reviewed capsule endoscopy, xrays, small bowel endoscopy, pouch scope etc. nothing showed up. But, it was healed by the time of the tests.

He suggested diagnosis as arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). All has been fine until last week. No hemorraging this time but definite bleeding again.

Anyone have AVMs? If so, how do you treat if even possible?

I'm 55 now and read that it can be a common problem at this age for those even without an ostomy.
