Applesauce has always been good for me, but I echo Scott - we are all individual! The same would go for any fruit or food, for that matter. Unfortunately there is no universal j-pouch diet. It would be so much easier if there were!
In terms of fruit recommendations, the truth is, due to the sugar and fiber content, fruit in general can have a laxative effect for just about anyone, colon or no. Doesn't mean you can't eat fruit, it just means you'll have to try them individually to see how they affect you. Have you tried bananas? They are generally a great bulking food, though some people find them to be too bulking, so you may want to start off with a smaller banana at first or half of a banana and see how it affects you.
