The past few days I’ve been eating just to eat. Nothing really sounds good or yummy. I just don’t wanna eat. No nausea and no other symptoms.

A friend of mine thinks I’m just bored with what I’m normally eating. She called it a food funk. Maybe...but im also thinking I may want to go to a nutritionist. I just have no desire to eat.

If this has only been going on a few days, it is possible you are dealing with a mild underlying virus and that it will run its course in a few days.  If not, it wouldn't hurt to take a look at any recent events happening in your life. Stress - positive or negative - can manifest in interesting ways, including loss of appetite. If it persists, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a workup to see if there is something else going on. In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids - if it's a virus, liquids can only help, and there is some correlation between dehydration and  loss of appetite. Something else to consider.

I find my own appetite to be quite variable, so maybe this is a normal blip? There are days I don't care to eat much and other days where I am ravenous. But I chalk that up more to hormones other than pouch issues! LOL

Hope you get it sorted out soon!

Bit of a weird one this; but I've experienced both, either constantly eating, snacks and everything, even after a huge meal and still feeling hungry, then on other occasions  totally off my food for days, both episodes were due to dehydration.

The always eating, was my body craving fluids, which my brain mistook for hunger rather than thirst.

Although, when off my food, I was normally admitted into hospital via Ambulance for IV fluids and within maybe 20 mins of receiving fluids, my appetite had returned.

This was before takedown surgery and whilst I had the loop ileostomy.

The dehydration use to creep up on me, the lack of potassium in the brain as a result of the dehydration also affects brain function.
