I really want a jpouch to end my pancolitis, but a second opinion by my surgery center, looking at my local pathology slides from the last colonoscopy showed inactive pancolitis but active ileitis. (this was opposite from my local pathologists who saw active pancolitis but normal mucosa in ilium!) The inactive pancolitis was universal and non-patchy, consistent with years- no, decades, of UC not crohns diagnosis. I had a CT 5 years ago showing upper GI was squeeky clean. i'll need another before surgery plus amother cscope (eg a couple days before surgery) but was wondering what veteran opinions are here in event it shows no crohns for sure- just some inflammation in ilium adjacent the ileocecal valve .,,,
So-called backwash ileitus seems to always be associated with adjacent activity in the colon. If they disqualify me (or cant assure me well that it is al
Most certainly still UC) from amything but a perm
Ileo i think they will rip out my spirit... I think i'd rather just fight on with medical therapies and hope for a miracle then. Anyone here have a good jpouch with a situation like mine, pre-surgery?
Isnt universal non patchy colitis unheard of with crohns? My pain, fWIW, seems to be up above my belly button and rarely rectal...
Thanks
