Any idea what's causing this

I have my pouch almost 14 years with very few problems however lately I've had a strange discharge from my back passage when I need to empty my pouch. The discharge is not waste but seems watery like perspiration and only seems to be present right before I empty the pouch.
Also sometimes I feel nauseous when I am emptying the pouch.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this, thanks

Marsipan: It sounds like you are talking about an ostomy bag, versus a "pouch," which is internal. Do I misunderstand? Also, when you say "back passage," what are you referring to?

I have the same thing as far as the moisture goes. Not that unusual. Pressure on the intestines can cause nausea. Nothing to be concerned there either.

Back passage is a UK term for anal/rectal.

From the profile, it seems that this was a 2-step j-pouch.

Marsipan, since you have been going along fine for 14 years without these symptoms, you probably should contact your doctor. Anytime you have new symptoms that are persistent, then it should be reported. I am not sure what would cause these new symptoms. Do you have any other symptoms than those few?
