anal tag excision

R: There are more than one type of anal tag, but if you mean the 'empty haemorrhoid' type, they can be sore
Q: was excision painful?
R: No
Q: what was the recovery like?
R: Took about a month - stitches burst open, so wounds had to be left to heal naturally
Q: did removal of anal tags reduce the pain and soreness of the anus from pooping?
R: Can't remember!!
Q: do anal tags come back?
R: Yes and no, Do the original ones regrow - that I don't know, do they recur? Yes
Q: are you glad you did it?
R: Yes

About 12 years ago I had about 5 removed and within about 3 months I had 'grown' another one! This is going to be removed shortly, gets really sore, but despite seeing a surgeon - I have yet to be examined by him!

my anus gets really sore from constant bathroom use, and i think the tags don't help the situation! they get inflamed and it's harder to keep clean. i hope this excision makes it better. good luck on ur procedure. I wonder if possible to prevent future growths? thanks again!
