Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering if any one else experiences this and what you think might help. Whenever I am on my period I feel as though I use the bathroom more often, and it is really watery stool and my abdomen hurts (not from period cramps). Any thoughts? This annoys me because I hardly have any pouch issues. Thank you, and sorry if this question is stupid or did not make sense.

This is common both with us j-pouchers, and in the general population. If you do a search here, you'll find that it is a common question. So, don't feel that it is a silly concern.

Basically, when you are on or around your period, there are prostaglandins produced that cause stimulation/cramping of the muscles in the uterus, and it also affects the gut. This is why they prescribe ibuprofen for menstrual cramps. It inhibits prostaglandins. If you tolerate it, you can try some during those few days. Just watch out for symptoms of pouchitis or bleeding. Then you can't take it.
