if you guys don't know, I have a sinus in my pouch for awhile now and Shen has concerns for abcess. He said signs are horrible lower back pain and high fever. this weekend my daughter had slap face(Fifths disease)they say its a parvovirus. Past few days I have not felt well. Kind of flu like, fatigue, headaches, dull pain in my neck back and legs. I had a slight fever but nothing high. I have heard these symptoms are typical for adults with this virus. I am currently on Tindamax and Entocort. should I be concerned for abcess or is that pain different? play it by ear for now?

This does not sound like a pouch abscess to me, more like viral syndrome. Yes, when I had an acute abscess, I did have generalized fatigue, aches, etc (like the flu), BUT I also had severe tailbone pain (think hot branding iron up the wazoo!) and a very high fever of 105 (this was after a month of fevers of 100-101).

Of course, you can get flu-like symptoms with pouchitis, but you did not mention any change in pouch function, which is hallmark for pouchitis.

I'd play it by ear. You are already on antibiotics, and that won't do anything for the virus.

My primary concern for you is the fact you are on Entocort and have chronic disease (even if it is under control presently). This puts you in the position of reduced immune response (although Entocort is much better than systemic steroids).

This can mean that you are contagious longer than other people with this virus, and you may be more susceptible to complications. If your symptoms keep up longer than 10-14 days, or become much worse, you probably should see your primary doctor, and perhaps even be tested for the virus, so you know for sure what is going on.
