The dr is unsure. But has been thorough. Could it be stress?

Definitely think it is a possibility. I know when I had stress, similar things have happened. And I have also talked to other people that have had similar things related to your situation and they were put on anxiety meds to help and it did help. I am not saying you need anxiety meds, I definitely did not but I think you should manage your stress before it gets worse for sure.

What is your lifestyle like???

Thank you Lauren. Yes, life now is stressful. I just had a new born on top of already having 3 other kids under 10. A new job assignment. A lot at one time. It’s hard to figure out, because sometimes the spasms are just constant , and other times I have none. So they do come and go.

You are welcome dear! I see you have a lot on your plate right now. I would just suggest to take some time out of your day to relax if you can that is. I would definitely suggest in addition to that to do deep breathing exercises. I find that helps me a lot too.

Hey JAT,  I get muscle spasms in the same area,  around the ostomy scar.  My abdominal muscles in that quadrant tighten up and it's very painful.  Fortunately it doesn't last too long.   I noticed this after my colectomy when I still had the ostomy.  This is not gas pains *though I get those too*.   I think they are more likely when I've been using those muscles,  but I also think they became less frequent/severe after I was able to strengthen those muscles after surgery.

You have a newborn,  so that must have really stressed your abdomen.   Great going with getting a new job & a new baby all at the same time.  I get that with a job & kids you have about 5 seconds to yourself a day,  but have you tried gentle stretching?
