I'm just over three years post-op and also struggle with polycystic ovaries. They have been under control with the depo shot but I got a cyst a couple weeks ago and the pain has gotten worse so I went back to the ER and guess what! No more cyst! I was punished for taking a hundred oxycodone between January and February. I was made to feel like a drug-seeker.
At the Gyno today (a man, whom I've never seen before) told me that cysts will come and go. Like they're no big deal and not painful problems that put you out of commission for days. Sometimes, I agree with my sister, there should be a law against male gynecologist.
This pain felt pelvic, I really thought we'd finally get to the bottom of my cyst problem but instead I was told "We can't fix the problem so we have to treat the pain." Then they referred me to a pain clinic. The gyno mentioned because of my surgery I could have "adhesions and things." I swear to god if I knew the hell that waited for me post-op I would have taken my chances with the UC.
If I have an adhesion around my pelvic area--how will I ever know and how come it didn't pop up until three years post-op? I'm the same weight I was last year, I don't get it!
