My pouch is 18 years old, and up until about 4 years ago, I lead a wonderful life. After MANY scans, scopes, etc. I was diagnosed with probable Crohn's and have been on Remicade for 9 months. Had a CTscan done in June and there was no inflammation, so the doctors are pleased with my progress. My problem is I have pain in both left and right side of my abdomen that the docs have said are adhesions (the right one is a stricture at the old stoma sight.) What's upsetting is, unless I go for adhesion lysis, I will have to live with this pain forever. None of my doctors think it's a good idea to do more surgery on me. I just don't know what to do. I've read that lysing adhesions doesn't work. I've been out of school this year, and I really want to go back to teaching in Sept. Anyone have any advice? THANKS!!!!
