adhesions and boewl blockage

I have been hospitilzed 5 times since july 2012 w bowel obstructions spent last 5 days of feb. then 2 weeks later i'm back. I go back to the Mayo where i had the original surgery back in 2003.Everything I see or hear says don't have surgery to fix the adhesions but this is getting out of hand.Your thoughts?

You will get no guarantees with surgery for "lysis" of adhesions. OTOH, your current situation sounds intolerable. I think I'd roll the dice. Are you sure your obstructions were caused by adhesions?
