Access/Fistula returning?

I had a mushroom drain placed in April for a lump I found early which was an abcess/going for a fistula. Well in that same spot now it has a lump again and it hurts to sit. Is this normal? You'd think I would be an expert at this and do you think it's trying to return?

I'd say a likely return, unfortunately. Best to make an appt with your GI or surgeon to try to get on top of things quickly.

Agreed. I had an abscess that began returning after 8 months, unfortunately. GP prescribed Cefspan and Flagyl 10-day course and it hammered it back down into nothing. I guess at some point it may come back again. Going to see GI about whether there are any options other than just deploying antibiotics whenever it returns.

I called my surgeon and they wanted to first put me on an antibiotic but they said no bc afraid of a blow out so its eua #14 for me ithink with probably another mushroom drain

I go in the 31 I think. I hate this. It's been 4 months but at least j caught it early
