At the risk of being irritating, you really must walk. Do as much as you can, and then take a rest. Then do as much as you can again. I know it is miserable - everyone here knows it’s miserable. You will only regain your strength if you press into it to some degree.

I’m not telling you to injure yourself, and really take as many rests as you need, but you will not get better very effectively in bed, or even in a chair. If you need a walker temporarily for safety that’s fine, too.

Id have to agree with Scott. It’s a hard surgery to recover from and it will take time. Walking is really important to regain your strength. Try taking a loop around your main floor of your home once an hour. It will get easier and easier and then you can go farther and longer. Eventually go outside to walk.
