Hey, all, I'm having some problems that I'm hoping someone might have some insight about.

The basic problem is this: I am "achey" across my abdomen. No matter if I rest or am active, it just aches, around the stoma and generally across the lower portion of my abdomen. This has been going on, getting slightly worse each day, for about 5 days now. The only other symptom is that sometimes it hurts when there is output from the stoma -- never had that before and don't really know how to describe it. Kind of like a pulling/pushing/stinging feeling.

The stupid thing is tipped really low, so low that the ostomy nurse says if my next surgery isn't scheduled quite soon I'm going to need a revision as the opening is completely flush with the skin (which is now gone right there!).

I am cleaning the area thoroughly every day, but I am wondering if the other pain is a symptom or a sign of infection?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Gin
