A little trick for ostomates to get sleep all night without getting up to empty bag!

I have an end ileo and this method worked for me when I had a temp ileo as well. I have a crockpot that I use. You may have to experience with different buckets and basins. A crockpot works for me. I lay down on my back and put the crockpot on my right side where my ostomy is and I put my ostomy bag in the crockpot and I let it drain all night in the crockpot! It works for me.

I just get up and empty.

Pushing 70 I have to get up anyway. Bladder gets full.

Just once a night like clockwork

Late in the morning I could probably get up and do an empty. But it's just maybe a 3rd full. So I just go back to sleep.

It can wait.
