Hi Everyone, On Jan. 4, 2011 I received a total colectomy with proctectomy and ileoanal J pouch. It has taken almost all of that time (2) years to finally quit using depends for leakage. I think I have used gallons of witch hazel, miles of toilet tissue, suffered with cramps, and all the other problems. I still get up at least 4 times a night no matter what I do. I have gained 43 lbs. and now decided to cut down on the carbs. My friends tell me I have never looked so good. I am feeling so much better, I am in the light at the end of the tunnel. So for all of you who are in that tunnel, hang in, as it does get better. It just takes time, I am thankful for my gastro, Dr Buckley, My surgeon Dr. Orrom, and all of you. All the advice, knowledge,explanations, etc. Thank you for the great support. What a wonderful group you are. I appreciate you.
