I have a jpouch but a recent scope made my doctor think i may have crohns so they did a bunch of blood tests. All have been normal except C REACTIVE PROTEIN, HIGH SENSITIVITY that came in high at 5.35 mg/l. When I googled it, sounds like that can go very, very high. Anyone familiar with this test and association to crohns? Normal shows up to 3 mg/l but I've read can be in the 100's so makes me think I'm not looking at the right thing. I tested positive for covid almost 2 weeks ago so not sure an infection like covid can make this go up....bc all other tests are within range

And, any other blood test markers for crohns?

The Prometheus test is the only blood test that purports to distinguish between Crohn’s and UC. It’s not very reliable. The distinction often isn’t very important - in my case they never actually figured it out. If you have active inflammation it should be treated, of course. CRP can help assess inflammation, and there are a variety of other tests that also can help with that. Unfortunately they can disagree.
