Just to clarify: this product has absolutely no connection or relevance to j-pouches or stomas. I just wondered whether any j-pouch or stoma-having sportspeople here had tried it, and how they found it.

Apparently some users found it caused "gastrointestinal distress", so I was wondering whether it might therefore upset the j-pouch.

So no need to look it up or wonder whether it is something you might want to try (and I am definitely not endorsing it as such).

@Sara Marie, could you please remove the link to the company that you posted? There was a court action lodged against this company alleging inflated claims for its particular version of this product, and I would hate anyone to click through, believe the hype, and spend a lot of money on this because of a thread that I started.

Superstarch is a legitimate product in its own right (not "just cornflour") but it appears that this company may have exaggerated its benefits to athletes for sales purposes.

Maybe I should delete my post. I just wanted to find out if it was going to cause any horrible GI distress for j-pouchers before I bought some (from a reputable source).

If you can think of a way for me to clarify this, please let me know. I'm having terrible cognitive issues at the moment and can barely string two thoughts together.

Done.

Are you saying that many people make super starch and that particular search result that I found was for a bad company?
