I’m 2 months and change out from mucosectomy.
my urologist would like to perform a follow up cystoscopy on me due to having had a long duration of post op urinary retention that recently got better after several trial voids and many I swelling foleys over the past 8 weeks
This said I use a long incontinence like pad in my briefs daily since post op
obviously I’ll have to be without underwear in a gown while my urologist is scoping me
I’m concerned about leakage and staining while asleep and I’d think they, the nurses will stick a pad under me/hospital chuck/liner
also is it normal to be two months post mucosectomy and leak effluent down the leg both legs when not making it to the bathroom in time?
my oncologist /surgeon knows I bleed on the parked because I’m healing at 2 months out
aldo I change pads twice daily and am prone to uti infections as a result poop staining is on the pad and it’s gets to my urethra.
Also of note I’m ftm. Meaning I transitioned my gender from female to male some 17 years ago and have not been operated below the belt.
so both orifaces are close together which is a recipe for uti in my case plus the use of a pad to save my underwear
Any polite feedback welcomed and appreciated
the cystoscopy is July 9 Under anesthesia
thx
