All,

I seem to have yellow diarrhea and it’s not great today. So I recently had a scope and I have severe inflammation about 10-15cm above pouch and in the pouch. Since my scope(which was Friday) I have noticed more yellow stools. Like bright yellow. I had some before but not like this. It’s especially bad today. I had avocado, eggs, and rolled oat oatmeal this morning and now it’s very sunshine yellow. Is this normal? Is this because my pouch is inflammed? Is this because I have pouchitis and gut imbalance? Is it because avocado is very fatty?  Could it be BAM? I just read about that. If anyone has had this before please let me know because I want to get better but doesn’t seem possible anymore.

After recently being back to a temporary ileostomy, I re-discovered that the small intestine can occasionally produce large amounts of very liquid bile and pancreatic juice which can be a fairly bright yellow (or green) colour. I think yellow and green secretions are the natural colours that mix to form brown poop. As I understand it, with the pouch, some of this liquid usually gets reabsorbed, but if your pouch is upset, it's probably passing straight through. I am now back to using my pouch and it's only happened once since. I never figured out what caused these bouts of liquid output - the best I've got is some combination of foods eaten, maybe quantity, timing, bacteria and/or stress levels. You probably know, the main thing is to take extra effort over re-hydration with electrolytes, when you have this diarrhoea.

I honestly have no clue what’s going on with me. My stools(without fiber supplement have become more formed and are either like pudding/oatmeal or they come out in little nuggets. That has happened since yesterday. My frequency is up because I seem to not go a little at a time and have a little pressure and gas directly where my vertical incision was about halfway or a little more downs. The stool, although formed well, still has a honey mustard tint to it and no sure why. My thought is my pouch and right about has inflammation(past Friday said severe) so it’s travel time is good throughout my system until it gets to the pouch then it’s not spending much time in there? I am taking imodium. It takes about 3-4 hours until I start to see anything I eat.  My question is, wth could this be? These don’t seem to be typical crohns symptoms. Could it be pouchitis or some sorta bacterial overgrowth in my pouch area that causes the coloration and irritation? I don’t seem to fit nicely into anything I read.  I had diarrhea day and a half after my procedure but since then no problems. I have been eating potato’s, salmon, rolled oats, eggs, chicken, stuff like that.
