Last night was a tough night for me. I take 2 immodium usually at 10:30pm and that can last me until 5am. I was up last night, however at 4:30, 5:30, 6:15 and I even took another Imodium at 4:30 when I woke up. this is not usual for me, and didn’t have anything different for dinner last night.

I wonder how long everyone else can go throughout the night without waking up. Any tips? I usually have a light snack around 9pm but nothing big.

Also I wonder how many of you are woken up by your small intestine/pouch sounds. It sounds like a thunder storm and it literally wakes me up from a dead sleep. any tips to avoid this? Am I the only one? I’d just like to not have to worry about this, you know?

If you’re going to snack at 9 PM then you might get the best results from something fatty, like peanut butter. That slows down the GI tract and might give you more time. I wouldn’t read too much into one bad night - that can happen to anyone, with or without a J-pouch.

I generally sleep through the night, 7-7.5 hours, but sometimes I have to get up earlier to poop, and then go back to sleep.

I rarely get a full nights sleep.  Last night I went to sleep at 10:30PM then woke up at 12AM to go , then 6, 6:30, 7AM.   I did snack quiet a bit and had an alcoholic drink.  I get up at least once and have a hard time getting back to sleep.  I know it affects me but taking sleeping pills is not a very good option either I found out.  Just keep trying I guess.
